I am not to allow this patient out of his sight.
I have also to report that on the 8th instant the same Wardmaster allowed one of the Visiting Justices, Mr Granville Sharp, to interview a male lunatic suffering from General Mania notwithstanding that I had given instructions that no one was to be allowed to see this patient without a permit from one of the Medical officers.
In my opinion this Wardmaster is not a suitable man to fill the post he at present holds. I am sure that he drinks to excess although I have never been able to find him actually drunk.
